Rajini in Thiruvanthapuram - Ajith in Azerbaijan - Kangana - Nayanthara films fail

According to information got, Rajinikanth is in Thiruvanthapuram to be there for three weeks for filming of Thalaivar 170. Fahad faazil, Manju Warrier, Amitabh Bacchan along with other actors would join him. Shooting will also take part in Nagercoil. At time of writing Ajith and crew of Vidamuyurchi is in Azerbaijan . It was earlier reported that shooting schedules have been planned in Gulf countries. It is not known whether Trisha who is holidaying in Ney York has joined Ajith. Much hyped Chandramukhi 2 directed by P Vasu after 6 day weekend collections has netted Rs 31 crore in India and Rs 6 cr in overseas. Starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana , the film received negative reviews but had a very god opening in Tamil Nadu. The film got advantage of five day holiday and so managed decent numbers. After the holidays are over the collections on 6th day is at Rs 1.36 cr in home market and very dismal in other States. Despite having Kangana as female lead the total gross in Hindi is only Rs 1.6 cr. In overseas market Malaysia gave big numbers of Rs 4 cr gross. Telugu States and Kerala , the figures were dismal. Estimated budget of the film is Rs 50 cr and is likely to be a loss for Lyca Productions. The surprising factor is that Iraivan which had Jeyam Ravi first release after PS 2 and Nayanthara post Jawan released along with Chandramukhi 2 had a poor opening and did not get the response that it deserved as it was a better made film. According to Sacnik the film got Rs 2 cr opening while Chandramukhi 2 got Rs 8 cr. Total net after 6 days is Rs 10 cr net. Chithha which had Siddharth along with Nimisha Sajayan got positive reviews and got good publicity with Kamal Haasan releasing a video in which he praises the film. According to Times, the film grossed Rs 11.5 crores in five days and the film will release in Telugu States in coming Friday.
