Leo beats Jawan in advance booking - D Imman ex wife clears Sivakarthikeyan name
Ex wife of music composer D Imman has come out with a clarification that she and actor Sivakathikeyan had no affair as many in social media are speculating after her ex hubby said in an interview of betrayal by the actor .
After Imman divorced his wife Monica after a 13 years marriage and two kids, a YouTube channel had reported that things were not normal with the music composer and Actor Sivakarthikeyan but did not say the reason. Now Imman who married a second time confirmed his break up with Sivakarthikeyan and said that he cannot forget the treachery that the actor had done to him and said that he confronted him and what reply he got cannot be revealed as it would hurt the future of his children. This led to comments that a extra martial affair between the actor and composer’s wife was the reason for divorce.
Monica set the record right by saying that Sivakarthikeyan was against Imman divorcing her and tried to mediate between them. Imman was angry with the actor for this and not that they were in a relationship. She said that after the mediation talks failed and the divorce, she had not spoken to the actor. She pointed out that Imman went in for a divorce after readying a new wife and left her and two kids with nothing . She said that Imman saying about the actor would create damage to his family as he was married and has two kids. She said that she was not affected and was running a successful company. She asked why her ex hubby who left her and two kids should talk about them now.
Despite the delay due to distributors and theatre owners dispute, Leo's Tamil version is leading its advance bookings numbers with around 13.75 lakh tickets sold. The film's Telugu and Hindi versions sold around 2.10 lakh and 20,000 tickets respectively. Jawan, on the other hand, sold around 15.75 lakh tickets in its advance bookings for the opening day. With this, Leo has logged the highest ticket sales in its advance bookings in 2023 so far, according to trade portal Sacnilk.
Advance booking for Leo could not be given in many theatres as distributors wanted a higher share than usual for the first week. Usual rates are 65% for first week and 60 % for second week, but distributors wanted ten percent more for first week. PVR chain and AGS among many stood firm but as many standalone theatres gave in, these chain too agreed with five percent increase than usual. Archana Kalpathy of AGS cinemas confirmed that all ahs been cleared and bookings are open. Yesterday the Leo makers after losing a court case to get early morning shows on first day had gone to Secretariat to get at least a 7 AM show but the move failed. Meanwhile Udhaynidhi Stalin who saw Leo at a special show tweeted his wishes to Leo team.
