BB Support to Lesbianism under Attack/ Lekshmi Steps Down

 

At the time of writing, wild card contestant Veda Lakshmi has agreed to quit. She was responding to Mohanlal challenge to walk out of the BiggBoss Malayalam show over her comments on the lesbian- Adila and Noora couple and terming them as those who are unwelcome as guests to a house (of singer Akbar)  who was supporting the couple sparked a debate. Many felt that Lakshmi comments were abusive of the lesbian community. Lakshmi made it clear on stage in reply to Lal that she was personally against lesbianism and having them on the show was like normal thing in society. Lal posed the question that if she cannot digest it then she is free to quit and that as wild card she was aware of the lesbian couple being in the show. Yesterday Lakshmi did not respond to the challenge as per the content telecast. Sources say that Lakshmi offered to quit . However Bigg Boss producers feel that like those supporting lesbian couple, a huge majority shares Lakshmi’s views. Hence a status quo. Lakshmi had said that even contestant Akbar family was not liking him getting close to the lesbian couple who are also Muslims.  These talk was on YouTube and she had heard it before coming to the show.  However as per rules she cannot reveal anything that she picked up outside the show and had to remain mum when she was asked whether she heard it herself. Yet another charge was that Lakshmi aired a private complaint by a co contestant to tarnish Oneal a contestant and that too without any proof. She had admitted that it was an excess by her and a bad move. She had tendered apology. Let us wait for Sunday episode.
