Singer Suchithra who openly spoke about rave parties conducted by Kollywood celebs on hearing about the news reports of Srikanth drug case and arrest that said the drugs were given to the actor posted- On Monday, Srikanth was arrested by the Greater Chennai Police in connection with the drug case. In the post titled, 'K'wood Cocaine Arrests', she wrote, "Never thought I'd get this 'I told you so' moment, but when I spoke about cocaine at K'wood parties - y'all called ME a drug addict 🤧 Amazing how news channels (and the comments) beneath are saying cocaine was 'given to' Actor Srikanth 🤔🤔. They don't 'buy it' apparently. It is 'given to them'. ☝🏽
Actor Srikanth tryst with drug mafia started with him acting in the Tamil-
Telugu film Theenkirai. In this film he plays a cop and Vetri as mime actor.
The film is Produced by Ajay Vandiyar. The film heroine is not Apporva S Rao
but her song video with Srikanth was a hit and the catch is that Apporva is
Ajay’s wife. Heroine is Smriti Venkat. It was through Ajay that the actor got
linked to a conman and drug dealer Prasad and his supplier Pradeep based in
Bangalore. Srikanth procured cocaine from Prasad and had been passing it on to
others and also for self use.
A drunk
brawl at a pub Lords Of Rings involving Prasad and accomplices and they being
arrested had led to Ajay entering the scene to bail him out. Acting on Chennai
COP Arun’s order a team raided Prasad and Srikanth house and out tumbled a
racket involving giving fake State Government appointment letters by a network
led by Prasad. It was found that Srikanth had transferred many amounts to
Prasad’s accounts. At the pub brawl Actor comedian Karunas an MLA was present
and it was his friends who attacked a guy for not showing due respect to Ajay.
Karunas pleaded ignorance of the brawl. Music Director Anirudh too in the pub
on that date.
Ajay a
social media influencer has acted in a film and married actress Apporva.
Apoorva’s twin sister Aananya also an actress had made her entrance in Bigg
Boss Tamil Season 7. Ajay is already picked up under Goondas Act and Prasad who
is said to be once a part of AIADMK IT wing too is booked. Further investigation brought in T. Prasad, who had
previously worked in film production and maintained close ties with Srikanth.
Police believe that Srikanth frequently socialized with Prasad and may have
been introduced to these illicit activities through him.
A search of
Srikanth's home in the Nungambakkam Lake Area uncovered small quantities of
cocaine. His blood test at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital came back
positive for narcotics. Based on this evidence, he was arrested.
Srikanth who got the Nandi award and FilmFare award was seen as a n actor in
family-friendly, emotional, and character-driven roles.
