For Dulquer Salman fans it will not disappoint as the romantic smooth talking cute guy with the infectious smile is there and in plenty. For the guys, Aditi Rao Hydari ( Kattru Veliyidai and Chekka Chevatha Vanam) gives a mind blowing performance and Kajol Agarwal in no small measure does leave a strong impression. One cannot say that it is a all time great romantic tale as it is about a wife who wants to separate from her too loving hubby as she feels stifled. Now this is quite similar to a Sathi Leelavathi or a Oh My Kadavul with a gender change and more of an adaptation of a South Korean film `All about my Wife ( again with gender change). Credits say Madhan Karky.
It quite beats me why the wife should feel unforgivable if she found another guy instead of arranging for a woman to seduce her husband ?.The woman she arranges is a PhD in psychology who says specializes in separating happy couples ?. There is hardly any emotional conversations between the couple about the financial status between them ( wife earns ( job is weather scientist) and hubby is a home maker). A few patches here and there about the man not having a gender discrimination is shown but what extent it will click in a society where hubby and wife going to work is the norm ?
Music is the soul of any romantic film and to a certain extent it works and needless to say the biggest plus is cinematographer Preetha who has shot it like a music video. Each and every frame is given care by her. Brindha graduation from choreographer to direction is nothing much to write home about. I think as it season to trim a film after release like Valmai, Hey Sinamika can do with a 30 min cut and must include Yogi Babu portions.
