Bigg Boss Tamil 9 will start in the first week of October 2025. Bigg Boss Tamil 9 will be hosted by Vijay Sethupathi. For the unversed, he had hosted the 8th season, In the statement, Krishnan Kutty said, “It is an honour for leading directors of Tamil cinema like Nelson Pradeep Kumar and Amaran director Rajkumar Periyasamy to direct the Bigg Boss show. This season will be directed by Praveen and Arjun. Viewers will be able to post comments about the contestants while watching the Bigg Boss show on Jio Hotstar.”
After this
announcement, fans are quite excited to see who will enter the madhouse this
year. As per Kutty, a few social media influencers are also expected to
participate in Bigg Boss Tamil season 9.
The previous
season of Bigg Boss Tamil was won by Muthukumaran.

The overall net collection of Coolie in India stands at 216.01 crores in all languages after 6 days. Including taxes, the gross total comes to 254.89 crores. Coolie is made at an estimated cost of 350 crores. In 6 days, the makers have been able to revive 61% of the total budget. It may not achieve the breakeven stage, but seeing how close it gets to that mark will be interesting.
