Samantha joins Anupama, Darshana and Sangeetha /Top 3 Directors shake leg with Vijay/ Vidamuyurchi OTT second top in Netflix

Paradha the Telugu film will see Samantha in a cameo along with Anupama Parameswaran- Darshana Rajendran and Sangeetha Krish. Sangeetha and Samantha are close friends. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, Gopi Sundar has composed the music, while Mridul Sujit has taken charge of cinematography.Paradha marks Samantha’s second collaboration with Anupama Parameswaran, following Trivikram Srinivas’s A Aa. The film revolves around the interwoven lives of three women, set against the backdrop of age-old traditions and mystical beliefs. It delves into deep cultural themes, including the controversial practice of Sati. Anupama Parameswaran portrays Subbu, a young woman on an emotional journey, encountering life-altering experiences. With Darshana Rajendran and Sangeetha Krish playing crucial roles, the film promises to be a visually and emotionally immersive experience. Samantha is currently busy with Maa Inti Bangaram. Maa Inti Bangaram is produced by Samantha itself under her home production banner Tralala Moving Pictures. The rest of the cast and crew of the film are yet to be revealed. On the other hand Samantha was last seen in Khushi and Shakuntalam. She was also seen in Citadel – Honey Bunny webseries that is the Indian instalment of the Prime Original espionage-themed series Citadel.
strong buzz is circulating in film circles that three-star directors are going to join Jananayagan the film. Atlee, Nelson Dilipkumar, and Lokesh Kanagaraj might make cameo appearances in a song. This special song is rumored to be a tribute to Vijay as he transitions from acting to politics, but there is no official confirmation regarding this. Apart from Vijay, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music. Sathyan Sooryan handled the cinematography, and Pradeep E. Ragav edited the film. The film was initially scheduled to be released in October 2025, but it was postponed due to an uncertain reason. It was officially announced in September 2024 under the tentative title Thalapathy 69, as it marks Vijay’s 69th film as a lead actor. The film’s official title was announced in January 2025.
This year, 5 South Indian films have arrived on Netflix after a theatrical run and Vidaamuyarchi has managed to bring the second-best debut after Pushpa 2’s 5.8 Million. Followed by Ajith Kumar‘s film is Daaku Maharaaj with 2.4 million views, Kadhalikka Neramillai with 2.2 million
