Shabana Azmi speech at the Dabba Cartel preview that she was initially wanted two actors out of the series and revealed that one of them was Jyotika. Rajinikanth Jailer 2 will have a Malayalam actor Chemban Vinod Jose . In the first part, it was Vinayakan as the baddie. After his death, Rajinikanth in the sequel gets hounded by the gang that was behind Vinayakan and Chemban is the gang leader. Chemban had acted in Kamal Haasan’s Vikram in the role of Commissioner Jose. Cheman is also a producer- screen writer. His previous outing in Tamil was Alangu. In the first schedule in Chennai, Chemban and Shivaraj Kumar join Rajinikanth.

Prabhu has assured that Annai illam the residence of his Late father Shivaji Ganesan will not go under the hammer. Her banner Rowdy Pictures is co- producer along with C Sundar- Kushboo Avni Cinemax. Directed by Sundar C, the film is a sequel to Nayanthara and RJ Balaji's Mookuthi Amman which released in 2020.

Anna Ben, celebrated for her roles in Kumbalangi Nights, Helen, Kottukali, Kalki ,took to social media to announce the exciting project, Yakshi in Hindi . Written and directed by Karan Sunil, known for his work on the series Code-Switched, Yakshi is an Indo-American co-production backed by Lambe Log Productions and Full Spectrum Features.
