Can Thalapathy film collect Rs 700 crore Gross ?

Thalapathy Vijay Producer DVV from Tollywood has expressed his inability to pay Rs 250 crores upfront for the film directed by H Vinoth. He had offered Rs 200 crores and Rs 150 crores as cash payment before the film starts and rest at time of release. As we know that Vijay’s film is considered to be his last before entering full time politics. On this USP itself the film would be guaranteed a hit as his fans would ensure that. On the other hand, the trade says that given Rs 250 crores for hero and production cost, the film will touch Rs 400 crores and it has to collect Rs 700 crores gross. Each film price is decided by last film collection and Leo with Lokesh as director did Rs 300 crores gross. Now Vijay is quoting Rs 259 crores and that too without a big Director like Lokesh is seen as a big gamble for the Producer. Even GOAT expectation is not big like Leo as the director is Venkat Prabhu who has not delivered a hit in recent times. GOAT is scheduled for a September 5th release. A counter argument against Vijay last film is that it could be targeted by his political opponents and see that it does not be a blockbuster in Tamil Nadu, the market where Thalapathy is KING. Adding all this, DVV who made a killing with RRR is now playing safe. Dil Raju is said to be ready to step in says trade. Lyca is another option and also in the bidding is Super Good Films. Chances are that AGS who is producing GOAT could be repeated .
