Sreeleela, who has an interesting lineup of projects in hand including the Mahesh Babu starrer Guntur Kaaram, might be replacing Mandanna in this upcoming Nithiin film, directed by Venky Kudumula. Sreeleela also replaced Pooja Hegde in Guntur Kaaram, co-starring Mahesh Babu, which was earlier titled SSMB28. A source close to the actress opened up about the ongoing reports saying, “Pooja (Hegde) who shared a very strong bond with Trivikram, left fans shocked when she opted out of his film. However, Sreeleela became the perfect choice to step into Pooja’s shoes. Even with Venky and Rashmika, something similar has happened. Venky who considers Rashmika as her lucky charm seems to be turning his attention towards Sreeleela. Sreeleela’s upcoming projects, between 2023-2024, Sreeleela will be starring in Vaishnav Tej starrer Aadikeshava, Ram Pothineni starrer Skanda, Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Bhagvanth Kesari, Nithin32, Guntur Kaaram, Vijay Deverakonda’s VD12, and Pawan Kalyan starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh.
The well-known Tamil lyricist Vairamuthu found himself at the center of a controversy when a video of him praising a female singer's smile during a practice session went viral. However, due to the ongoing #MeToo accusations against Vairamuthu, the context of this seemingly innocent remark took a dark turn. Consequently, the public reacted strongly, labeling him as a "creepy bastard" and unleashing a wave of criticism. This incident highlights the significant role of social media in exposing hidden aspects of an individual's character. The video, capturing Vairamuthu's comment and compliment towards the female singer's smile, acted as a trigger for renewed public outrage. The context surrounding the compliment became crucial in this case. Given Vairamuthu's history of accusations, the comment was viewed as insincere flattery or even an attempt to normalize inappropriate behavior. Journalists also contributed to the discussion, with one remarking, "But you're a vile piece of shit!" In a recent development, singer Chinmayi criticized the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for visiting Vairamuthu's house on his birthday, considering that he stands accused by her in the MeToo movement.
Kasthuri shared a video featuring two girls purchasing alcohol from TASMAC, the state-owned retail outlet in Tamil Nadu. She expressed her opinion that the money allocated by the DMK-run State Government, amounting to Rs. 1000, intended for women empowerment, would ultimately end up back in the state's funds. Many people viewed this act as an intrusion of privacy and questioned whether similar situations involving affluent girls drinking would have had different consequences. In response, Dusky Tamilachi posted Kasturi Sanghi posted a video showing a few women waiting in line at a TASMAC shop, highlighting that the Tamil Nadu scheme providing Rs. 1000 monthly support to needy women would primarily benefit TASMAC. Dusky Tamilachi asked " comparing this assumption to stating that all women in Brahmin households are "Devadasis," clarifying that this is not the case. ++
