Kamal Haasan will be back on December 9 from USA to attend the success meet of his production Amaran. The public function will see Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin will be Chief Guest. As December 12 is Rajinikanth birthday, the Superstar goes out of town and so his availability for the function is not known. But as of now December 12 is the Amarn event .Though it was widely publicised that NetFlix pushed the premiere by a week and release it on December 5th due to good theatre collections, the real reason was that Kamal who is away in USA wanted to hold the function just few days after OTT release and thereby give out a final tally at theatre box office at the event. He could arrive only by first weekend of December and so he and NetFlix agreed on this release date. The box office collections after the second weekend has dropped drastically in all releasing areas and with Kanguva coming on November 14th, the film's run will be almost over. On Tuesday, it was Rs 3.6 cr in Tamil and almost a pittance in other States.
Rajinikanth and Dhanush in Jailer (2023) and Captain Miller (2024) , Shiva Rajkumar revealed that he has been approached for a role in Thalapathy 68. Talking to Radio Mirchi , ge said - “They have approached me for a beautiful character in Vijay’s film. It sounds interesting, but I don’t know how it will shape up because of my dates. They are saying it’s Vijay’s last film, but I personally feel it should not be so. As a friend and well-wisher, I think Vijay is a fantastic actor and a good human being. The ambition that he has got is fantastic. I respect him for that. So I hope I freeze the project.”
