Dhanush and Vishal to take Tollywood route to beat Tamil BAN

As Tamil Film Producers Council decided to block Actor Dhanush and Vishal from signing any new Tamil films, it is said that both these heroes have committed to Telugu films already. These films will dubbed into Tamil and a get Tamil Nadu release. As using Red Card is a practice that can run foul of Competitive Commission, TFPC has asked members to take an advice before signing Dhanush. He has taken advance from many including TPFC President Murali and not honored them. Vishal who already is facing a court battle with Lyca , is now accused of wiping out Rs 12 crore of Council funds , during his tenure as President ( 2017- 2019). He claims that all the funds were spend for member welfare and asked the Council to stop him from doing films. Like in Bollywood, TFPC has decided that A listers films should get released on OTT after an 8 week window after theatre release. Yet another decision that is not given in press release is that after Agust 15th, there will be no fresh Tamil film launches and existing films should finish work by October 31. All bodies of Producers – Distributors and Exhibitors took part in the meeting. The idea is that as OTT prices have toppled or dried up for medium and small film producers and in case of A listers, final price is linked to theatre collections. As per current A lister films on floor, many of them are almost ready to wrap up shooting before November 1.
