AI voice and Deepfake of SPB goes to court - Trivikram joins Thalapathy waiting list

Legendary singer SPB’s son SPB Charan has on behalf of his Late father and other singers decided to move the Court to get justice from makers of the film Keeda Cola directed by Tharun Baskar. The makers admitted that they used Artificial Intelligence and deepfake technology to bring the Late SPN alive on screen through Keeda Cola. SPB Charan found this was appalling as no permission from him or family was taken and if allowed a free run, many singers mere existence would be in trouble. In mid-January he send a legal notice but so far nobody has bothered to reply. As Charan does not want to get into a media slanging match, he informed - “We abstain from any devious methods to handle this matter and have nil desire to precipitate this issue through media trial and solely propose to take this issue up legally. My father's voice is not only his asset but also has a tremendous recall value, which is the reason, I believe, why the movie-makers wanted to use it – even if artificially recreated. Aside from this, we would like to register that we have huge respect and love for all our legendary singers, musicians and composers, both present and past, and we stand in solidarity in protecting the community from such unauthorized misuse/abuse of their late lamented skills.”
It looks like the coveted job of director of Thalapathy Vijay’s last film before taking to politics full time is now gone to Trivikram. Trivikram’s latest release is Guntur Kaaram with Mahesh Babu. Whether the film is a hit or average, has been a bone of contention. Now it seems that the producers DVV who are paying Vijay a three fold of his price has wanted a director who can deliver a hit in Telugu and Tamil and make it a film with winning chances. Mahesh Babu and Vijay are friends and they had a talk. The outcome is that Trivikram has been the choice. Trivikram watchers say that his films are very much rooted in Telugu backdrop and heavily dialogue oriented. Due to this his films remade in other languages are flops. Blockbuster hit 'Nuvvu Naaku Nachavu' remade in Tamil was a big flop. Incidentally it had Vijay in the lead Trivikram story based film remade in Tamil with Vijay was Youth and Vaseegara and both were flops. Prasanth remade Trivikram film and so also STR , Both were flops. Some of Trivikram films remade in Hindi were flops.
