Kamal Haasan started shooting for Kalki 2898 AD from
Wednesday at Hyderabad. The film directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Aswini
Dutt is the first dystopian scifi drama in which Kamal plays the baddie. The
film with Prabhas is in two parts and we learn that Kamal has few scenes in
first part and more in second part.

Filmmaker-actor Vijay Kumar plays the titular character in
the film ‘Fight Club’, which has got its first look unveiled now. Produced by
Aditya of Reel Good Films, the film is being presented by filmmaker Lokesh
Kanagaraj who recently announced his ‘G Squad’ production venture.
Filmmaker Abbas A. Rahmath has written and
directed this film, which features Vijay Kumar in the lead role. Actress
Monisha Mohan Menon plays the female lead character in this movie, which has an
ensemble star cast including Karthikeyan Santhanam, Shankar Das, Avinash
Raghudevan, Saravanavel, and many others performing pivotal characters.
Leon Britto is handling cinematography for this
film, which features the musical score by Govind Vasantha of ’96’ movie fame.
Sasi has written the story for this film, which has Kripakaran P as the editor.
Ezhumalai Adikesavan is overseeing the art department. Vicky and Amrin
Abubakker are choreographing action sequences. Vijay Kumar is the creative
producer for this film, which has screenplay written by director Abbas A
Rahmath.
While the shooting is already wrapped up and the
post production work is briskly nearing completion, the film’s first look,
featuring Vijay Kumar in a new avatar has captured the interests of fans and
spectators vividly.
Furthermore, filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has
launched his ambitious production house ‘G Squad’, presenting this project has
increased expectations on this film.
Two Tamii films Harish Kalyan’s Parking and Nayanthara’s
Annapporni ( her 75th film) are to be badly affected by the upcoming
cyclone and heavy rains. Already today, Chennai – Coimbatore and Chengalpet ,
three major box office grossing centres are already indunated and orange alert
issued. Situation is expected to be worse as cyclone is set to cross the coast.
After the media shows, Parking has got positive reviews. If the weekend gets
washed away in rains, it is hard to recover from Monday. It has to be seen
whether the film releases will be postponed. Parking has already released USA
theatre list. Yet another casualty is Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.
