Thalapathy fans upset on next film director choice - Allu Arjun confirmed in SRK film

Vijay's supporters are disappointed with the content of his last movie, Varisu, and believe that its success at the box office was solely due to his star power and the favorable Pongal/Sankranthi period. Despite its financial success, the film failed to satisfy his fanbase. On the other hand, Lokesh's movie, Leo, has done exceptional business in non-theatrical markets, generating revenue of Rs 240Cr, with overseas rights selling for 60Cr+. The film is expected to do more than 100Cr business in Tamil Nadu and has an anticipated ROI of over 50Cr. This means that the overall business of the movie is expected to be around Rs 450Cr, which is outstanding. Vijay's fans were hopeful that he would sign only big-budget movies going forward. However, there are reports suggesting that he has committed to a film with Gopichand Malineni, produced by Mythri movies banner. This news has worried Vijay's fans, as they were anticipating a much bigger combination after such a massive film like Leo. They were hoping for a collaboration between Vijay and Atlee, especially since the latter's Hindi debut film, Jawan with SRK, is expected to be a blockbuster.
