The movie 'Thudikkum Karagangal' is produced by K. Annadurai under Odion Talkies. Veludas directed this film starring Vimal as the lead. Veludas and Kalidas have also produced the film as co-producers. Misha Narang has played the lead role.
The shooting has been completed and the post-production work is currently underway. Meanwhile, the teaser launch of the film was held at the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association building in the presence of famous directors.
The event was attended by Directors Eghil, Lingusamy, Pramesh, Rameshkhanna, Bhuvana, Santhosh and Trichy District Distributor Jinnah among others as special guests.
Speaking at the event, director Lingusamy said, “They have given the title of the film starring Superstar Rajini. While re-using the titles of some of his more modestly run films, sentimentally those films have been huge hits. Naan Mahaan Alla is an example of that and this movie is sure to be a hit.
Actor Vimal has acted in good films like Kedi Billa Gilladi Ranga, Manjapai. He should have come to a place like Sivakarthikeyan by now. In between there was a little bit of a hindrance due to some mistake. Movies like Lovetoday, which are now considered icons, become huge hits after their release with fan support. When I saw the teaser of this movie nothing seems wrong.. This movie will be a big hit..
It is wrong for the Producers' Association to decide not to screen Tamil films during the festive season in Andhra Pradesh. All the films releasing now are doing well. It was a golden age for cinema. Such a problem should not arise at this time. A solution should be found by the right people to discuss the issue of successor release. If someone takes such a decision with a narrow mind, surely the cinema will change like before Vaaris and after Vaaris. So what has happened now is a bit of a ruckus. I hope it will be fixed soon,” he said
Producer Annadurai said, “Director Veludas is my friend. Like a brother. I came forward to make this film for him. Till now I don't know what the story of this movie is. I didn't even ask for that."
Director Veludas said, “I have been traveling in cinema for a long time. So producer Annadurai started this film to see me as a director. Right after the start of the film, he never came to the set even for a day after that, he handed over the entire responsibility to us.
Speaking to the director, Pramparau said, 'The producer of this film never listened to the story. Today, no producer listens to the story.. There is an environment where if the hero likes it, it is enough. Producer RB Chowdhury, who introduced nearly 43 assistant directors like Lingusamy, Eshil and myself, would listen to the story for each of his films. After that, he will send the story to the hero who is suitable for that story. So he got continuous success.. Now he is going to make his hundredth film. But today the situation has turned upside down as it is enough if only the hero gets the story.
Veludas, the director of this film, will come to a good place like AR Murugadoss. I have seen this movie. Director Veludas has handled the script perfectly. It doesn't look like a new director directed the film.
Currently, the Telugu Producers Association has decided that Tamil films should not be screened during the festive season in Andhra Pradesh and Telugu films should be given priority.. We don't watch films by language. KGF 2 was released around the same time as Beast released for Pongal this year, and the success of the first part of the film already saw the release of KGF 2 in more theaters than Beast.
Similarly, when Ponni's Selvan was released, the Kannada film Gandhara was well received here, so more theaters were allotted. We see all together with affection as Dravidians. But they only see us as Tamils.
The producer and director of Varisu are from the Telugu film industry.. Only the hero is Tamil.. So the hero is cornered..
Now the new procedure they have come up with is like humiliating us. This cannot be dismissed as an ordinary issue. It's a moral issue.
The South Indian Chamber of Commerce should intervene in this as it should take a fair decision for all South Indian languages. It would be a mistake to remain silent.
Apart from that, the Tamil Producers Association should also have a voice in this matter. If the successor film does not release in Telugu, there is a possibility that the problem will become so big that no other language film will release here. Because it is a matter that can arouse our anger and emotion."
