In a first for T‘Wood , fixing the window price at Rs 500 is the game plan to get a collection of Rs 50 crore per day in the first three days of S S Rajamouli directorial RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in Andhra and Telangana, says a leading distributor. Distributors had in these two States paid more than Rs 200 crores and the film was to release on July 2020. COVID has upset the shooting schedules. Rs 75 cr was paid for Nizam area.
Early this year, the ticket rates of 'Sarileru Neekkevaru'
and 'Ala Vaikuntapuramloo' were priced between Rs 150 to 350 and garnered
record-breaking collections. "It has become a new strategy to show up big
openings after hiking the ticket rates by four to five times," rues
distributor Bharat Bushan. Now, Rajamouli's magnum opus will follow suit with
revised ticket rates. The film was earlier scheduled to open in theatres in
July this year, will now release across the globe in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and
Malayalam in June 2021.
