How Lokesh got Sathyaraj to act with Rajinikanth ?

Beyond this, the coming together of Rajinikanth and Sathyaraj marks the end of a 38 year old feud between two actors. Last film they worked was Mr Bharat. A remake of Trishul the Big B Hindi film. Sathyaraj played father to Rajini in the film. In Hindi, the role was played by Sanjeev Kumar and with shades of grey. In the end, Sanjeev Kumar takes the bullet meant for Amitabh, his son from his love affair that he did not honour. Old timers tell us that the reason for Sathyaraj to be in the film was Rajini. A Kovai Distributor says that Rajini film Veera was sold for Rs 75 lakhs and Sathyaraj film was sold for Rs 25 lakhs. In fact, Sathyaraj anger against Rajini took a flash point when he was denied permission to hold a success meet of his film at Valluvar Kottam by State Government. It was clear that Sathyaraj statement was a personal one as he was an open admirer of MGR, a Malayali by birth. Years later it is said that Lokesh offered Sathyaraj a role that was parallel to Rajini and that of a antagonist . Sathyaraj was by now sitting with not less than 20 films in hand and widely basking as Kattappa. In his inimitable style, he did not hear out the role but instead asked Lokesh – You want to just have my name for the hype or because the role demands me ?. Now Santosh Sivan who got honoured at Cannes Film Festival and became the first cinematographer from Asia to get an honour delivered what we say is a one from Dil Se ( from heart). Priety Zinta debut film Dil Se prsenyed the award instituted in name of Pierre Angenieux the inventor of the zoom lens that revolutionised cinematography./ The speech : Sivan was dressed in a tuxedo with a felt hat to complete his look for the occasion. There is a Mollywood connect that was revealed when Prabhas unveiled Bujji the wonder vehicle. The voice of Bujji is none other than Keerthy Suresh. Though a Malayali, she is actually a nall South actress and her chatter with Prabhas is become a hit after the video was released.

Sun TV is in a state of shock after the TRP of Captain Miller premiere was only 5.5 . The Dhanush film was just average at box office. Thalapathy Vijay will be Chief Guest at audio release of Paadai Thalaivan starring Late Vijayakanth son Shanmugha Pandian. This move has electrified the film world and more so the political world. We hear that Kavin had charged Rs 2 crore for STAR and for the Vetrimaaran produced film directed by Vikraman Ashokan titled Mask , had demanded a bigger amount and finally Andrea who is playing the heroine has mediated and brought out an amicable amount. Kavin also stars in Directot Nelson’s Production and has been titled Bloody Beggar. Aadujeevitham on Disney HotStar from May 26th will have all deleted scenes. Those that were removed doe lack of runtime will be part of Prithiviraj. The question is whether the scene of sex of man- goat will figure. The film is a Rs 150 crores club one.
