Vishnu Vishal and Aamir Khan are staying in a gated community in Karapakkam , suburb of Chennai. Two days rains in Chennai flooded the area and Vishnu posted on X the situation. On the heroine front, we got information that Nayanthara has agreed to act as heroine’s sister in a film directed by her hubby Vignesh with Pradeep Ranganathan as hero. Her solo heroine oriented film Annapoorani released last Friday is a washout primarily for the predictable content and heavy rains lashing Chennai. It collected a mere Rs 1.68 crores.

Meanwhile Sai Pallavi has very big projects. First is a film with Yash of KGF and directed by Geethu Mohandas. It is an offbeat film. Secondly the coming together of Premam team . She is once again with Nivin Pauly. She has a film with Naga Chaitanya too. In Tamil she is teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan.

Meanwhile we saw Ritika Singh post injuries on her hand and wrist. She seems to have smashed her hand on a glass sheet. She said that though the unit warned her of the glass, she lost her momentum and added that though it is not paining , she is is going to take an injection and will leave from set to hospital. She did not say which set this happened and many think it is at Thalaivar 170 sets.

Trisha who got slammed for calling Animal as a cult film and iconic had to with draw the post after netizens felt that it was in wrong taste to hail a film that is showing heroines as mere objects to satisfy the carnal desire of the hero. After this no South celebrity has come to comment on Animal. Only in two Telugu States, the film is doing well. All the same Rashmika Mandaana is basking in the success of Animal and she is now in sets of The Girl Friend directed by Rahul Ravindran of Chi Low Saw fame. Director Abbas A. In the film 'Fight Club' directed by Rahmat, Vijay Kumar is playing the lead role and actress Monisha Mohan Menon has been paired opposite him. Along with them, Karthikeyan Santhanam, Shankar Das, Avinash Raghudevan, Saravanan Vel and others have played important roles.

Sasi has composed the story for this movie with cinematography by Leon Brito. Music composer Govind Vasantha has composed the music. Krupakaran has done the editing work to look after the art direction of Etummalai Adikesavan. Vicky and Amreen-Abubakar have created the action scenes for this movie which is being prepared with an emphasis on fight scenes. Vijay Kumar has worked as a creative producer. This film is being prepared as an action entertainer and has been produced by producer Aditya on behalf of Reel Good Films.

Rajinikanth re-release put off - Kamal's Aalvandhaan to release - Mohanlalseason begins

 

Tollywood is witnessing a trend of rereleasing old hits and this trend was Rajinikanth Muthu. The film release was scheduled for December 2 but as there was no advance bookings, distributors cancelled all shows.  A month ago Dhanush film 3 was rereleased and it got full houses. Last week in Tamil Nadu, the film 3 was re- released and it too got good openings. Dhanush on X wrote -Emotional, overwhelmed and a million thanks. It was directed by ex-wife Aishwarya. For Pongal Dhanush Miller and Aishwarya Lal Salaam are clashing. Next in line is Sivaji The boss timed for Rajinikanth Birthday on December 12^th. After Jailer’s Telugu was a hit, Producers of Thalaivar films are getting good money for Telugu version distribution rights. Dil Raju who is distributing Animal’s Telugu version is happy as it is the first Hindi dubbed film that opened to such huge figures in both Telugu States and is the highest and beats all SRK films. Bimbisara, Jailer, Dasara, Love Today, and Ponniyin Selvan throughout Andhra Pradesh and Telangana was distributed by Dil Raju and all were profit making ventures. He said Animal opening in two Telugu States was Rs 15 cr plus and by weekend it will reach Rs 35 crores. As producer of Ram Charan – Shankar film Game Changer, he said only 80% is complete and added when Rajamouli, Shankar. Sukumar or Sandeep were directors, one should not look at release date and wait for final product. Vijay Devarakonda film Family Star release is on March 2024, he added.

Aalavandhaan official trailer has been released by Kalaipuli Thanu and it’s the edited and trimmed Digital version of the Kamal Haasan film released 22 years ago and bombed badly. The film has Kamal play dual role twins with diverse thinking. For today’s generation, the film could be an eyeopener  Cinematography by Thiru , film will hit theatres on December 8^th. It is the only film from V Creations that was a flop and put Thanu in a financial mess. Raveen Tandon plays the heroine.

2024 will be Mohanlal season as he kickstarts with Neru directed by Jeethu Joseph releasing on December 21. Later it will be Lijo’s Malaikotai Valiban which will see a different look. Ajith gets Rs 150 cr for Adhvik film -Prithviraj in Rajini film and Vijay Sethupathi - Katrina and Sheela in news

 

 If reports are true, Tollywood sources say that the producer Mythiri Movie makers who stepped in to make the film with Ajith under Adhvik Ravichandran has struck a deal with the actor for Rs 150 crores. Not only that Ajith will also another film for the same producer and the director is  Gopichand Mallineni. He directed the Balakrishna blockbuster Veera Simha Reddy.

Latest addition to Thalaivar 171 is that Prithviraj Sukumaran is likely to be on board.  Sometime in late October, Lokesh had approached Prithviraj and talks were on. Shooting starts from April 2024. The Salaar trailor shows that Prithviraj is playing a meaty role in it. Prithviraj Aadu Jeevitham has got a release date – April 10 2024

Merry Christmas starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif is not a Hindi film dubbed in to Tamil. The Tamil version and Hindi version have the main lead and a child actor in common and the actors are different in each version. Katrina said that for he Tamil version she had to mouth her dialogues in Tamil apart from Hindi and English. Film Director Sriram Raghavan said that being a Tamilian, he wanted to direct a Tamil film and now his wish has come true. Sriram directed Andhadhun which is being remade by Thyagarajan with his son Prasanth in the lead. The film is coming in January 2024.

Will Suriya dump Raja or Vaadivaasal ?

 

Will Suriya dump GananavelRaja ? or will he dump Vaadivaasal ?. Director Pa Ranjith the vociferous speaker on many issues has kept his silence as his film Thangalaan with Vikram is bankrolled by Raja’d Studio Green.

Suriya and his father Sivakumar are now being targeted for the outburst by Producer Gananvel Raja gainst Director Ameer. The growing support from the director’s fraternity for Ameer including Vetrimaaran who is to direct Surya in his next project Vaadivaasal has come as a rude jolt to Raja who issued an apology which he said was a reaction to what Ameer had said about the Paruthiveeran financial issues. This further agitated some who said that false insinuations against Ammer cannot be swept under the carpet in the garb of an apology and instead it should withdrawn from public domain and Raja should say that it was false. Anyway there is a move towards filing a contempt and defamation case against Raja.

Now the twist to the tale is that Raja who said that he did not speak out for 17 years was because the actor’s father Sivakumar had asked him to not do so. Raja said that it was not Ameer who gave Suriya the break but it was Suriya who gave Ameer the break. He further went on say that Karthi’s Paruthiveeran was a film for Ameer to learn direction by trail and error at Raja’s expense.

Now those associated with the film say that Raja was just a courier boy who carried cash from Suriya to the Production team and not once had he turned up at the location. Funds stopped coming from Suriya after the first copy limit was over, Ameer borrowed money from friends like Producer- Director – Actor Sasikumar. Finally, when it was ready for release, Raja took over and gave nothing to Ameer. Fact that Raja had no money of his own was evident as Karthi at the Japan function said that his brother’s saving was the fund for Paruthiveeran.

Now the charge is that Suriya has given his nod to Raja to take on Ameer after the latter described him not getting invited for Karthi 25 despite being the director who launched him as ungrateful. Raja went full throttle and even dragging Sudha Kongara in the matter by saying that she did not like Ameer’s Raam. Sudha was quick to rebut it by saying that Paruthiveeran was her model film.

There is great animosity that two relatives turned producers along with Suriya is indulging in dirty games. Even the recent scandal of an actor linked with music director’s wife is said to be the handiwork of the lobby that wants to demolish the actor’s family image and also that the actor dared to drag one of this lobby members to court over a financial issue.  Incidentally Sivakarthikeyan film Ayalaan is pitching for Pongal 2024 against many including Suriya’s Ganguvaa.

Kamal shoots for Kalki - Lokesh film Fight Club confirmed - Rain affects Harish- Nayanthara films

 

Kamal Haasan started shooting for Kalki 2898 AD from Wednesday at Hyderabad. The film directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Aswini Dutt is the first dystopian scifi drama in which Kamal plays the baddie. The film with Prabhas is in two parts and we learn that Kamal has few scenes in first part and more in second part.

Filmmaker-actor Vijay Kumar plays the titular character in the film ‘Fight Club’, which has got its first look unveiled now. Produced by Aditya of Reel Good Films, the film is being presented by filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj who recently announced his ‘G Squad’ production venture.

Filmmaker Abbas A. Rahmath has written and directed this film, which features Vijay Kumar in the lead role. Actress Monisha Mohan Menon plays the female lead character in this movie, which has an ensemble star cast including Karthikeyan Santhanam, Shankar Das, Avinash Raghudevan, Saravanavel, and many others performing pivotal characters.


Leon Britto is handling cinematography for this film, which features the musical score by Govind Vasantha of ’96’ movie fame. Sasi has written the story for this film, which has Kripakaran P as the editor. Ezhumalai Adikesavan is overseeing the art department. Vicky and Amrin Abubakker are choreographing action sequences. Two Tamii films Harish Kalyan’s Parking and Nayanthara’s Annapporni ( her 75^th film) are to be badly affected by the upcoming cyclone and heavy rains. Already today, Chennai – Coimbatore and Chengalpet , three major box office grossing centres are already indunated and orange alert issued. Situation is expected to be worse as cyclone is set to cross the coast. After the media shows, Parking has got positive reviews. If the weekend gets washed away in rains, it is hard to recover from Monday. It has to be seen whether the film releases will be postponed. Parking has already released USA theatre list. Yet another casualty is Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.

Vetrimaaran backs Ameer - Fight Club is Lokesh first production title

 Director Vetrimaaran through his company Grass Root Film Company made it clear on their X Page that Ameer is very much part of his Vaadivasal project. Karthi whose 25^th film was Japan invited all directors who worked with him for a function. Ameer who launched him was not invited. According to producer Ganavel Raja who produced debut film Paruthivaaran , Ameer filed cases against Karthi’s father Sivakumar and Karthi brother Suriya over a financial issue. Vetrimaaran tweet signals that he is backing Ameer and inside sources say that Suriya haf said that he has no objection to Ameer p acting in the film. Film is produced by Kalaipuli Thanu. The tweet says -Director #VetriMaaran met Director #Ameer to discuss his role in #Vaadivaasal. The prominence of his role in the script has increased

during the writing process and is tailor made for Director #Ameer. He is irreplaceable as an actor in the film.

Meanwhile Gananavel has issued a statement saying that if his interviews had hurt Ameer then he was apoligizing and it was only a knee jerk reaction to what Ameer said.

 

Director Sasikumar has said that in the garb of an apology, Raja cannot push the allegations made by Ameer as false and asked Raja to clear this aspect

Lokesh announcing his banner made it clear that he was going to do so with only  good friends. Vijay Kumar is famous for his film Uriyadi , a political thriller released in 2016 . Produced by Vijay Kumar himself and playing the lead, it got critical acclaim, he got a chance from Suriya 2D entertainment It was sequel. to Uriyadi  and it came three years later in 2019. After that he wrote dialogue for Suriya - Sudha film Soorarai Pottru, He acted in two films lead for Reel Good Films. Now for Lokesh, he acts and directs. Fight Club which is an emotional thriller.
