KPY Bala TV personality debut film Gandhi Kannadi is facing attack from some quarters. Posters have been pulled down. Some actors in Bala film has been attacked, Bala team has not mentioned about the source from where attack comes but it is obvious that it could be SK fans as his film Madharaasi released on same day. Though many say the film is heart touching many have found fault with narration.

Boney Kapoor who recently produced three films with Ajith Kumar confesses about the practice of Producers buying tickets to boost box office to foll the OTT platforms to pocket more money, Read on He began by saying, “This is my opinion and I may be wrong. But I feel that OTT is responsible. Satellite is responsible. In today’s times, the contracts related to the sale of OTT and satellite rights are linked to the box office figures. As per the contracts, if a film crosses the Rs. 100 crore mark, the platforms would give an additional Rs. 5 crores to the makers. If the film goes past Rs. 120 crores, Rs. 5 crores more would be given.” Boney continued, “By the time the OTT platforms realize, picture lag ke hit ho chuki hai books mein! Moreover, there are not many distributors. The studios themselves release the film. The important thing to consider is that the kharcha spent on buying tickets will go under ‘promotional activity’! So, it will be taken as an expense.”

Boney Kapoor feels that this practice will be short-lived, “Sooner or later, everybody will get smart. The producers are (indulging in this practice), as their contracts are valid which were signed long back. Ab woh phasenge jinki nayi filmein banegi; in the sense that reality will strike.”

The most expensive remake rights were of a film that I have not made so far, Comali (2019). I paid Rs. 3.5 crores for its rights. Abhi tak bani nahin hai woh picture. I have now given the rights to Luv Ranjan. He has the Hindi rights while I have the all-India rights, that is, the rights to remake in all languages.” Said Boney. He said that he would come back to Tamil and make two films. “Initially, her 4-5 Hindi films were dubbed. She felt her performance was compromised. So, she learned Hindi. She would have a Hindi teacher in the dubbing studio. That’s how she started dubbing on her own. For Mom (2017), she dubbed for the Tamil and Telugu version. For the Malayalam version, there was a dubbing artist. Yet, she sat with her to see that the dubbing was in sync with the performance. Dhoni and Madhavan combo on Screen / How much did SK - Rukumani- ARM Get ?

 The admirers of the former Indian captain, M S Dhoni, love to watch him whether it is on or off the field. Now, the two heartthrobs from Chennai, Dhoni and R Madhavan, have joined forces for a new exciting project.

The behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot showed Dhoni and Madhavan standing on top of a car wearing task force attire with a lot of others accompanying them. The two can be seen holding guns as they pose in front of the green screen. Both Dhoni and Madhavan look stylish wearing black sunglasses.

Addressing the director, the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ actor can be heard saying: “I am taking my glasses, looking at him (Dhoni), smiling.”

It would be exciting to see these two sharing the screen for the first time. While a lot of details regarding the project are still under wraps, it is believed that they have joined forces for an upcoming advertisement.

The Dhoni fans have been eagerly waiting for the wicket-keeper batsman to make his Bollywood debut; however, no official announcement has been made till now.

Back in April this year, filmmaker Karan Johar shared a video of Dhoni on social media, addressing the cricketer as a ‘lover boy’.

The clip opened with a light pink screen and little hearts that read: “For the first time ever, starring MS Dhoni in a romantic avatar”.

Next, we see the batsman and wicketkeeper, flaunting his signature long hair, along with a beige cap that matches his beige pants, and an orange sweatshirt. Dhoni is also seen carrying a big red heart-shaped balloon in his hands.

Looking into the camera with a smile, Dhoni says: “Tum jo saath chalti ho, har safar khoobsurat banaati ho” (The way you walk with me hand in hand, you ensure to make my every journey more beautiful with your presence).”

The video ends with the text, “A love story like no other, coming soon.”

Maadhrasi Salaries for Sivakarthikeyan , Rukumani- Vidyit, Biju Menon, A R Murugadoss. Sivakarthikeyan was paid upfront Rs 40 lakhs and after that another Rs 30 crores before release, The highest for SK, Rujumani was given Rs 3 crore and jump from Rs 1 crore as Sapta Saagaradaache Ello, was a hit. Biju Menon who played NIA agent was paid Rs 3 crore. Badddie Vidyut was given Rs 4 crores as he is regular in all ARM films. ARM despite setbacks was paid Rs 30 crores by Lakshmi Movies.

As per reports Tamil Nadu has taken a Rs 12 cr opening and in Telugu States the response is not good. Largely favourable reviews have helped SK fans to come out in large numbers with action numbers. Monday will decide whether it has the potential to cross the weekend.

Vishal Kicks out Director / Mammooty Lucky Charm For HIT FILMS/ Priya is junior actor in Jhanvi film

 According to industry buzz, Ravi Arasu and his team have stepped away from Magudam due to certain issues. Now, Vishal is said to have taken charge of directing the film himself. Sources claim this information was revealed by someone from the crew after a shoot took place under Vishal’s direction. The update has quickly spread across social media, sparking mixed reactions from fans. While some are excited to see how Vishal handles direction, others are critical. They point out a similar situation occurred earlier during Thupparivalan 2, when director Mysskin exited the project and Vishal continued it on his own. With this happening once again, critics feel the recurring issue may not be with the directors but with Vishal. However, there has been no official confirmation from the production team so far. Fans will have to wait and watch whether Vishal truly directs Magudam and how the final product turns out.

Rekhachithram the first hit of Malyalam cinema features the sing "Devadoothar Paadi." from Bharathan drama Kathodu Kathoram. .. It also played a significant role in the 2022 satirical legal comedy. The original track, composed by Ouseppachan with lyrics by ONV. Mohanlal's character dancing to "Shanthamee Ratriyil," a popular song from Mammooty film1992 thriller Johnnie Walker in 2025 Rs 100 cr club film Thudarum is another example of the lucky charm working. The original song was composed by SP Venkatesh . It was  the first Malayalam song to be choreographed by Prabhu Deva. "Thottu Thottu Pesum" from the 1999 Tamil film Ethirum Puthi m another Mammootty film featured in Ajith Good Bad Ugly. Simran and  Raju Sundaram took part in this song as guest in the original with score by Vidyasagar and Vairamuthu lyrics. In Ajith film Arjun Das and Priya Varrier took part .

On Wednesday, Farhan Balaporia, content creator, claimed that his video criticising the actor had been taken down, labelling him insecure.

Without naming Vijay in the video, he said, "Now, I can't name him or her, but you will probably be able to guess as I tell the story. By the way, when a lion and tiger have a child, it's called a Liger." Liger was the title of the Puri Jagannadh film that marked Vijay's Hindi-language debut, but proved to be a failure at the box office. Later in the video, he said, "I have a friend named Arjun who is never ready on time." Vijay won fame with his hit, Arjun Reddy.

"The video that got taken down is basically him saying that Hollywood has bigger budgets because more people speak English, so the actors get paid more, and therefore they're more successful. My reaction was disagreeing with him, telling him that foreign films in different languages on low budgets have succeeded, whereas his own film with a high budget was unsuccessful," he added.

The creator also said "He'll just take it down again if I re-upload it because there is a clip of him in the reel," the creator said, promising to upload a new version where he will play the actor, and then post the reaction. In the caption, Farhan wrote, "Imagine being so insecure you can't take criticism from a random guy on the internet."

In the comments section, social media users guessed the actor in question was Vijay Deverakonda. One comment read, "Oh man. Such an insecure person he is, and I love this sarcasm." Another said, "CEO of pettiness." Another posted , "He must have said 'I...I...am...a...fighter' while taking down your video."

At 25, Naslen Called Superstar, Films Earn Rs 100 Crore

One of the most notable points is that, Naslen has managed to score not one but two films in the Rs 100 crore club. All this, at the age of 25, a feat rarely achieved by young actors.

In 2024, he shot to fame with Premalu a romantic comedy film directed by Girish A D and produced by Bhavana Studios, Fahadh Faasil and Friends, and Working Class Hero. The film which also featured Mamitha Baiju, alongside Sangeeth Prathap, Akhila Bhargavan, Shyam Mohan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Mathew Thomas and Althaf Salim hit the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. It went on to become the sixth highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time and the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2024. In 2025, he won acclaim for his role in Alappuzha Gymkhana. Although the film didn't hit the Rs 100 crore mark, the Khalid Rahman, directorial earned Rs 65 crore. The film also starred Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Franco Francis, Baby Jean and Shiva Hariharan.

Another film this year, Lokah, sees him play 'second' role to Kalyani Priyadarshan first female superhero of Malayalam cinema. The fact that he didn't mind being protected by the 'heroine', deserves appreciation. The film is expected to earn more than Rs 100 crore and it currently the third highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025.

In a post shared by Naslen, where he is seen posing with Lokah producer Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas, has gone viral. Dulquer Salmaan has commented on the picture with the message "Edaaaa!!! Superstar".

Mollywood’s latest superhero movie, Lokah, is making waves at the box office! This Kalyani Priyadarshan-starrer has made history as South India’s first female-led film to cross the Rs. 100 crore mark. And that’s not all, it’s also the third fastest Malayalam movie to hit this milestone.

Dominic Arun wrote and directed the film. The story keeps you hooked the whole way, and somehow, it doesn’t feel like a low-budget movie at all, it’s really polished. The Telugu and Tamil versions are doing pretty well too, and the team couldn’t be happier with the response.

With Lokah continuing its impressive run and film lovers showing no signs of slowing down, the film is set to highlight new benchmarks for Malayalam cinema’s box office presence worldwide.

Indian Film and Television Producers Council (IFTPC) which represents over 375 of India’s top Producers, announced on Monday that it is preparing to take legal action against certain Social Media Influencers who allegedly engage in extortion. According to the IFTPC, there is an “alarming trend” of some influencers using predatory tactics. They allege that these individuals approach producers with a demand for payment. If the producers refuse to pay up, the influencers then threaten to release “malicious and disparaging” reviews and reaction videos.

The council stated that this goes beyond just a bad review. These are allegedly “targeted campaigns designed to deliberately sabotage a project’s reception and commercial viability.” It’s a clear threat to a film’s success even before it has a chance to win over the audience.

‘Criticism Is Welcome, Extortion Is Not’

The IFTPC was very clear in its statement that it is not against film criticism. The council respects the “freedom of speech” and welcomes “genuine, constructive criticism” from reviewers and the public.

However, they have drawn a firm line between honest opinions and what they are calling “extortionate practices.” The council believes these acts by “unscrupulous individuals” are a “grave threat to the creative and economic health of the Indian film and entertainment industry,” and they have decided that enough is enough.

The council has announced that it is seeking opinions from “top-tier legal counsels” to figure out the best way to tackle this issue. They are exploring all possible legal options under both civil and criminal law to bring a “swift and decisive end” to these alleged practices.
