Vettaiyan title look review - Narain- Lokesh to say about LCU - Nirav Shah out of Ajith film

Rajinikanth 170 has been titled Vettaiyan and teaser was released yesterday by Lyca. The teaser according to many is a collage of Rajini’s previous film Jailer is one comment. Kamal goes soft on DMK post floods - Vijay Fans v/s Pollution control over flood relief

Soon after Ajith fans claimed that their idol arranged boats for NDRF to rescue Aamir Khan and Vishnu Vishal, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam claim that they waded through oil slick in Ernavoor to rescue a mother and three year old baby, has according to TNPCB ( pollution Board) exists only a trace and that too not in the area mentioned. According to a video put out by a Vijay Makkal Iyakkam membera lady called him from Ernavoor asking for help to rescue her pregnant sister in law and her three month baby. As there was no NDRF teams around, she called VMI member. The VMI team found that it was not just stagnant water but a thick oil spill was evident but they went in saved the sick lady and her daughter, The Chennai Petroleum a Central PSU operates it and so Central Govt was at dock. State Pollution Board who took samples say that there is no oil spill in the refinery. Only the stagnant water in storm water going to Canal had traces. Also they mentioned that the storm water drain from Factory to the Eranavoor had no oil traces.Now VMI are call Board team as covering up the lapses in the Refinery.

Kamal Haasan is yet another Kollywood celeb to get caught in a an attack from a section of social media. While his Makkal Needhi Maiyam has been in the forefront distributing relief materials to flood affected residents in Chennai, his statement that said it is not the time for blame game and saying that for any Government body to reach 1 crore people at the same time is impossible and so all must join in. This many see as Kamal playing up to DMK the party with which he is likely to align. He saying that 2015 floods saw 24 cm but now it is 54 cm is defending DMK. He said that only if people stopped buying wetlands and converting them to dry lands and constructing buildings, flooding will stop. From earlier track record, even in 2015 floods, Kamal said that pray to the rivers and rain as if they are your deities and by that way these rivers will be protected . This Friday looks like the nineties when Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth clashed on the same day for box office honors. Today Rajinikanth’s Muthu and Kamal’s Aalvandhaan are re-releasing and Kamal’s film which was a dud when released has been edited by Producer Thanu and made to suit the today’s generation. Thanu had always felt that the film was not bad but ahead of the times and that Kamal used him to try out his experiments. Muthu on the other hand was a blockbuster . With all songs a hit, Vasu took Priyadarshan’s Thenmavin Kombathu and gave it a Tamil touch. What we need to know is that whether Aalvandhaan releasing today with entire suburbs of Chennai under water and weather man saying more rain in a few more districts can beat the odds and at least give Thanu the poster costs ? Or will it remain the jinked film ?

The most surprising fact was that Zee5 postponed the release web series Veerappan the unseen tapes from this week to December 14. The treason being that Chennai being the major subscriber base in Tamil Nadu and many parts of the city still not getting proper power supply, it would be a waste to release now. As the web series will be on the OTT platform and with rains, it could be diversion for those who want stay indoors this weekend and see Veerappan. Another announcement that has got mixed reactions is that BiggBoss 7 Tamil will have no eviction this weekend as voters across the State could not vote due to poor mobile connections due to rain. Mobile connections were briefly down in Chennai and restored quickly. So is this reality show voter base only in Chennai ? Others say that voters and voting be damned as BiggBoss content directors decide who to be kicked out and cite instances where obnoxious contestants are kept back as they give content.

Nayanthara's flood relief to Chennai residents has got her negative publicity as the video of her fan club doing this work in Suburban Velacheri looked like a promotional aid for her brand Femi9 that manufactures sanitary napkins and sells the, The van with  both sides painted with Nayanthara and her Femi9 distributed food packets and drinking water. All this was done with the Femi9 advt in the background. After that a group of ladies posed with Femi9 sanitary napkins for the video that was loaded on X. Her fans went delirious and praised Lady Superstar for being so kind and generous. It was seen as a yet another reason for her being worthy of Lady Superstar title. Probably the fact that Tamil cinema Only Superstar or his fans have yet to respond to the flood crisis.
