Vetrimaaran fans upset - Madhavan as G D Naidu - Malayalam Cinema's costliest film starts

 Pradeep Ranganathan of Love Today fame has irked Director Vetrimaaran's fans. The filmmaker turned actor tweeted on Tuesday from his official Twitter handle, praising Vetri Maaran's recently released film "Viduthalai," calling it extraordinary and sending his best wishes to the director and his team. However, some followers of the national award-winning filmmaker were upset that the actor did not address Vetri Maaran's name with Sir in his tweet, with one user requesting that he do so and another user questioning the actor's longevity in the industry and emphasizing the need for respect towards a senior Vetri Maaran.

According to Vignesh Shivan , Pradeep Ranganathan has expressed interest in working with filmmaker on his upcoming film Love Insurance Company "LIC." He also confirmed that Nayanthara is part of the film. This collaboration has caused excitement among Tamil film fans as it was originally supposed to be Sivakarthikeyan's 17th film with Anirudh as the music director. RKFI, a well-known production house in Tamil cinema, owned by Kamal Haasan ,is expected to produce the film, bringing a new level of sophistication and polish to the project.

MediaOne Global has signed R Madhavan for two of their upcoming projects. One of these is a biopic on G D Naidu, the man known as the "Edison of India" and recognized as the "wealth creator of Coimbatore". Naidu's legacy is closely tied to the production of India's first electric motor. The other project, by R Mithran of Thiruchitramabalam fame, will be s shot entirely in London. RJ and actress-producer Punnagai Gheetha, based in Malaysia, will play the lead opposite Madhavan. Aravind Kamalnathan will be the executive producer and cinematographer for the film. This marks Madhavan's next venture as a man of science after playing a scientist in Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film, which promises to inspire youth, is a biopic on Gopalsamy Doraisamy Naidu, also known as the "Miracle Man". The G.D. Naidu Charities signed an agreement with MediaOne Global Entertainment Limited on Wednesday, and a conceptual poster was released on Thursday. Other details of cast and crew is yet to be finalised.

This shooting method necessitates a significant amount of preparation and investment in technology, which is further complicated by the fact that it will be a two-part series. The team conducted test shoots and built a massive virtually controlled set a year ago. The film series will be among the first to be shot entirely on South India's biggest modular shooting floor, which spans 40,000 square feet and is located on a 36-acre plot of land. Actor Parthiban had a conversation with Mani Ratnam and made a request for the re-release of "Ponniyin Selvan" part 1, so that audiences can refresh their memories before the release of "Ponniyin Selvan 2" on April 28. Thalapathy son to direct Uppena remake ? Dhanush- NTR Jr in Vetrimaaran's next

 

Is Thalapathy Vijay's son, Jasan Sanjay, going to direct the Tamil remake of the Telugu film Uppena, or will he make his debut as the hero in this remake? These are the questions that are currently circulating, as Mythiri Movie Makers, the film's producers, have informed another production house that the remake rights cannot be sold because Vijay Sethupathi and Vijay have requested that they not be sold. It is unlikely that Vijay will act in this Telugu remake, as it did not fetch a good price in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Jasan had previously declined an offer to act in a film by Alphonse Puthran, saying he was more interested in working behind the camera.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Krithi Shetty and Vijay Sethupathy will be playing the lead roles in the remake, with Sethupathy potentially producing the film, pending Jasan's approval.

Uppena, which was directed by Buchi Babu and starred Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Kirthi Shetty, was a debut film for both the director and lead actor. Despite criticisms of its portrayal of masculinity, violence, and the treatment of casteism and honor killings, the film was a commercial success, earning Rs 80 crores on a budget of Rs 15 crores. Till then Ram Charan’s debut film Chirutha hold the record for a debutant highest opening. Uppena beat that record Vijay reportedly blocked the remake rights well before he began work on Beast, and Vijay Sethupathi had given a token advance, suggesting that Mythiri and Sethupathi will jointly produce the film.

According to Cameraman Velraj, who has collaborated with director Vetri Maaran in the past, it has been revealed that Dhanush and the director are set to work together for the fifth time. Velraj has previously worked with Dhanush on two films, namely "Vellaillla Patthdhari" and "Thangamagan". Reliable sources suggest that the project will commence after the release of "Vidhuthala 2", and it has also been reported that NTR Jr will be joining the cast. Actor Kalidas Jayaram announced on Monday via Instagram that he will be featuring in director Shankar's forthcoming film, Indian 2. This will be the second time Kalidas will be working with actor Kamal Haasan, following his role as Haasan's son in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram. Currently, the actor is in Taiwan, where he has joined the rest of the cast and crew for the ongoing filming schedule. Jayaram and Kamal share a special bonding and both together have worked together in several films.

According to AR Murugadoss creating a film demands adequate planning and sufficient time to execute ideas flawlessly. He had to juggle several factors, resulting in the movie turning out to be average. Originally, the project Darbar aimed to commence in February with the goal of completing it by June before the anticipated heavy rainfall in Mumbai.

The filming of Darbar began only in March, causing a significant amount of stress for the director due to the tight schedule. The lead actor, who is a Superstar, had plans to launch a political party after August, which was also taken into account during the production process. Murugadoss admitted to being a devoted fan of Rajinikanth and did not want to pass up the chance to direct him. However, unforeseen circumstances caused a disruption in the original schedule.

Sreenivasan revealed in a media interview that Mohanlal turned down veteran actor Prem Nazir who had expressed his desire to direct a movie featuring him in the lead. Shah Nawas, son of the late Actor Nazir told Kaumudi Online that it was true that there was a proposal to direct Mohanlal and Sreenivasan was writing the script. Regarding this Lal and Priyadarshan had come to his house for discussions. " What happened later, I have no idea . But I have no reason to disbelieve Sreenivasan " he said. He also added that his father had planned a second film with Mammooty .According to Sreenivasan, Nazir had shared this idea with him during the filming of 'Kadathanadan Ambadi' directed by Priydarshan and had asked him to come up with a story suitable for Mohanlal.

Sreenivasan also mentioned that Mohanlal had apparently informed him of Nazir's proposal but had shown little interest in the project. Later, Sreenivasan had shared a storyline with an intermediary named Nadarajan of KRG Movies, which Mohanlal had rejected, Mohanlal told that Nazir at this old age should not take up direction. The same plot was used in the classic film 'Sandesham', an iconic film directed by Sathyan Anthikad.

Sreenivasan further claimed that Prem Nazir had paid an advance to Mohanlal at the wedding engagement ceremony , but unfortunately, Nazir passed away before the project could materialize. Sreenivasan expressed this after Mohanlal had publicly stated now after Nazir's death that he had wished to act in his directorial movie.

Following Sreenivasan's statement, there has been a divide among netizens, with some speculating that this might be a PR stunt to defame Mohanlal, and it could have been Mammootty who had turned down Nazir's project. Sreenivasan in an interview was asked whether his relations with Mohanlal was strained because he did Dr Saroj Kumar, a spoof on Mohanal on screen, the actor said that even otherwise they were not on best on terms. He was reminded of Lal kissing on his cheek at an Award function, Sreenivsan shot back - " He is a Complete Actor ". One of the Directors of the Arudhara Fold Finance company has accused R K Suresh, a producer and actor who is also a member of the BJP national executive committee, of involvement in a Rs 2400 crore scam. The Tamil Nadu Economic Offences Wing has stated that Suresh has been in Dubai for the past month, reportedly for his son's medical treatment. The company is said to have defrauded about one lakh investors, including individuals from low socio-economic backgrounds who invested their life savings for the promise of higher interest rates, resulting in a total of Rs. 2,438 crore being cheated. Chiyaan Vikram in Kamal's Maruthanayagam revival - Director Nelson dumped - Kamal in Taiwan

It has been reported that Rajkamal Films International, owned by the renowned Indian actor Kamal Haasan, is in discussions with several production companies to revive the historical film Marudhanayagam, which was started 26 years ago but eventually shelved. The twist in the tale is that the new version of the film will have Chiyaan Vikram playing the protagonist. Haasan's concept for the film is to use the portions that he had already shot for the original version, which account for almost 40% of the film.

Marudhanayagam is based on the true story of Maruthanayagam Pillai, a commander of the East India troops who converted to Islam and came to be known as Khan Sahib. He was betrayed by his own men for the Arcot Of Nawab, who had a dispute with the British. He was reportedly hanged thrice to confirm his death after having escaped hanging twice before. Despite his eventual capture and execution, Maruthanayagam is remembered as one of the fiercest warriors that the British forces had ever encountered.

The original production of Marudhanayagam had to be halted when the British production house that funded it withdrew its support after India's nuclear tests in Pokhran in 1998. However, the renewed interest in historical epics after the global success of films like Baahubali and RRR has sparked hope for the revival of this project. With Chiyaan Vikram taking on the lead role, fans are excited to see this long-awaited film finally come to fruition.

Kamal in Taiwan for Indian 2

After attending the audio launch event for Mani Ratnam's epic movie 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' in Chennai a few days ago, Kamal Haasan, flew to Taiwan last night to shoot for his much-anticipated film 'Indian 2', which is directed by Shankar. 'Indian 2' is a follow-up to the successful vigilante thriller of the same title, in which Kamal Haasan reprises his role as the freedom fighter Senapathy. Kamal Haasan posted a picture of himself at the airport with the caption "Indian in transit 2 Taiwan! #indian2". Recently, Shankar disclosed that the talkie portions of the film would be finished by June, followed by a song shoot, after which the post-production work will commence. Margaux Lancaster, the make-up artist, has also flown to Taiwan to work on the film. Produced by Lyca Productions, 'Indian 2' boasts a star-studded cast that includes Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Delhi Ganesh.
